FAQ's
Q. Where can I have my skip placed?
A. Not on the highway without a permit and correct signage and lights. We can, where possible, arrange a skip permit for you, but in some cases, you may have to apply yourself, depending on your borough’s requirements. Skips can only be placed on private property and please remember that the grass verge outside your house may not be your property. However, we can help to organise these matters for you, or organise a wait and load.
Q. What access do you need to my address?
A. The vehicles that will deliver your skip are large. Please make sure that they can get in and out of your location, safely. If you are in doubt, please contact us and we will give you the approximate dimensions required.
Q. What can I put in my skip?
A. General and inert waste only. Fridges, Freezers, Hazardous Waste including Paints, Solvents, liquids or Asbestos are NOT ACCEPTABLE. We can provide you with a list of items that cannot be placed in your skip. We can dispose of hazardous waste for you, but we will need full details from you.
Q. What size skip do I need?
A. Think sensibly about what you have to dispose of, remember, one large skip will be more cost effective than eventually having to hire two smaller ones. They must be level loaded for safety reasons on the road. Not all skip sizes cope with clay and muck waste as the vehicle may not transport it legally. We cannot accept liability for any damage caused whilst off the public highway.
Q. How long can I keep the skip?
A. It is usually for a seven day hire. Depending on availability we can be more flexible on this time period.
The price is the same for a day as it is for a week.

Q. How do I order my skip?
A. Phone us on 01932 221952 to organise your delivery, collection and the exchange of skips.
Q. How much notice do you need?
A. Normally 24 hours for deliveries, collections and exchanges.
Q. What happens to my waste?
A. Our Skips are taken to a fully licensed waste transfer station for recycling, this minimises the amount of waste that goes to landfill.
Q. How and when do I pay?
A. Non Account Holders:
We will accept payment on delivery to the driver, or alternatively you may pay by credit/debit card in advance over the telephone.
We accept all major credit and debit cards, with the exception of Amex. Payment is taken prior to the start of the hire.
Please note that if paying by cheque we will not be able to collect your skip until the payment has cleared.
Account Holders: If you wish to hire on a regular basis with up to 30 days credit please contact us regarding details for opening an account.
